Changing Nature of Alliance

Lok Janshakti Party president Chirag Paswan has affirmed the news that the character of the alliance is changing in Bihar, a noticeable threat to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar as enforcement strategy achieves strength in Bihar before the Assembly elections planned for November this year. Seat distribution has been a disputable issue in Bihar on either side of the political divide and Chirag, whose father Ram Vilas Paswan being a Union minister within the Modi cabinet, is in no mood to be left cheated.

Addressing the party karyekartas via video-conferencing, Chirag asked his party volunteers to be prepared for any phenomenon, a clear-cut indication of the message has been sent to the Chief Minister Nitish Kumar who faces a challenging task this election

Chirag’s remarks gave set off buzzing a number of cracks within the ruling NDA which comprises Janata Dal (United) of Nitish Kumar, Bharatiya Janata Party, and LJP. In the 243-member law-makers, the LJP has only two MLAs and has no representation in Nitish’s Cabinet.

The seat-sharing method among the NDA ally is expected to be the trigger behind Chirag toeing a different stream. The LJP demands 42 seats but the BJP and JD(U) are offering only 30-35 seats.

Bihar, which is expected to reach to polls in October-November this year, is probably going to work out a vexed contest between the ruling NDA lead by Nitish Kumar and also the Mahagathbandhan comprising of RJD, Congress, JAM, RLSP, and VIP.

The opposition league is led by Tejashwi Yadav, the son of RJD head Lalu Prasad Yadav. While Nitish is seeking a fourth in-line victory, it’ll be a decisive race for the RJD which is facing a leadership crisis due to the elimination of Lalu in multiple forage scam cases in December 2017.

Nitish Kumar isn’t able to tolerate them and also the LJP is feeling shelved. Nitish Kumar wants LJP to be ousted and needs to present them less number of seats. Chirag Paswan’s anger is genuine and Chirag is going to be the explanation for the collapse of the NDA

Chirag has been upset with the CM Nitish Kumar and has been outspoken against him for a previous couple of weeks over the handling of migrants and therefore the law and order situation. Reacting to the remarks by Chirag, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) spokesperson Mrityunjay Tiwari said all isn’t well within the ruling NDA.
